Immerse yourself in the World Heritage: a one-day programme awaits you to spend with family or friends in the world of the prehistoric pile dwellings!
If you walk from Saint-Blaise (NE) or Neuchâtel (20 - 40 minutes) alongside the borders of lake Neuchâtel, you will reach the Laténium museum and archaeological park by the lake path! When you arrive at Laténium, you can admire the archaeological park: Pile dwellings, Roman ships, paintings from the Stone Age and much more! For families, there are games and a playground.
The Café des Laténiums is open simultaneously with the museum. It offers a pleasant place with a great lake view to have a coffee or share a meal.
Borrow an audio guide at the entrance to the museum and go on a voyage of discovery of the pile dwellers, the folk who settled the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in prehistoric times.
Spend a night on the water, in the beautiful surroundings of the Hotel Palafitte, just a few steps away from the Laténium. Experience what it must have been like to live as a pile dweller!
