Visitor Center World Heritage Sardona in Vättis - "BergeBeben - BergeStürzen"

The Sardona World Heritage Visitor Center in Vättis presents newly prepared insights into the topic of earthquakes and landslides in connection with mountain formation in the Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The exhibition "BergeBeben - BergeStürzen" in the mountain village of Vättis explores the past and present earthquakes and landslides in the cantons of Graubünden, St. Gallen and Glarus.

The connection between earthquakes, landslides and the formation of mountains, especially the Alps, is also addressed.

A highlight of the exhibition is the live transmission of recordings from seismic stations of the Swiss Seismological Service, a volume comparison of the largest regional landslides and impressive videos of rockfall, rockslide and landslide events.
