Through archaeological finds from excavations carried out throughout the region, a visit to the Montebello Archaeology exhibition reveals a thousand-year-old past in which Bellinzona has always been a crossroads of important trade routes and communication routes. These finds include objects whose materiality, form and technique bear direct witness to continuous commercial and cultural exchanges between north and south, but also east and west.
