Factory - Rue du Temple Allemand 45-47

It was in the discreet workshop on the ground floor of this building from 1890 that Charles Léon Schmid and Charles and Eugène Wille worked on producing the "proletarian watch" invented by Georges Frédéric Roskopf. The latter, the pioneer in the history of reasonable priced watches, withdrew from business in 1873. His successors remained in the building until the beginning of the 20th century before having a new factory built on rue Alexis-Marie Piaget. The industrial building at nr 47 dates from 1892
