Staubbach Waterfall

The unique waterfall drops down foaming over a 300 meter high vertical rock wall of the Mürrenfluh to the valley. In free fall, the water is sprayed and dispersed by the wind. Even Goethe was inspired by the foaming stream and the wind to his famous poem "Song of the Spirits over the Waters’". The great water song written by the prince among poets ends with the profound and immortal lines: "Soul of man, how you resemble water! Fate of man, how you resemble the wind!"
