The Museo Poschiavino, founded in 1950, tells the history, art, and culture of Valposchiavo through an extensive collection of documents and historical artifacts. Housed in the imposing Palazzo de Bassus-Mengotti, a building of great artistic and architectural value dating back to 1655, the museum offers a unique testimony to the life, work, and emigration of the people of Poschiavo. The carefully restored museum was inaugurated in 1985 and represents an important cultural resource for the valley and for future generations.
