Lake Palpuogna

According to a competition held in 2007, Lake Palpuogna is considered the "most beautiful spot in Switzerland." While hiking along the lake, the depth of the water can be perceived through the gradation of its colors. The majestic peaks of Piz Ela and Piz Rugnux are reflected in the crystal-clear water. The "Laj da Palpuogna" also served as a source of pressurized water for the Brand drilling machines during the construction of the Albula Tunnel.
