Illusion Wagon Filusio

The illusion wagon “Filusio” is an old, converted railway carriage located at the Fillisur station. Upon entering, visitors are immersed in a fascinating world of optical illusions related to various railway themes, making waiting times a unique experience.

Seemingly endless spaces and surprising perspectives invite visitors to linger in infinity, turning the act of waiting into an adventure of its own.

Remarks

Nine stations to marvel at:

  • Peephole: A door viewer reveals attractions outside that don’t actually exist.

  • RhB Rooms: The pyramid-shaped rooms appear surprisingly deep when viewed head-on.

  • Portrait Illusion: The portrait of Willem Jan Holsboer creates a 3D effect, making the head appear to turn with the viewer.

  • Experience Wagon: Two large illuminated boxes invite discovery.

  • Floating Track: Distorted surroundings give the guiding track a weightless appearance.

  • Moire Slider: Overlapping printed foils reveal dynamic patterns when the slider is moved.

  • Escher Viaduct: A showcase presents a model of the Landwasser Viaduct as a clever optical illusion.

  • World Record: Angled mirrors create an impressive endless effect for placed objects.

  • Anti-Gravity Wagon: A play on gravity creates a unique photo spot, turning group pictures into highlights.
