Immerse yourself in the World Heritage: a one-day programme awaits you to spend with family or friends in the world of the prehistoric pile dwellings!
During a guided tour of the Museum Laténium, visitors can immerse themselves in 500 centuries together with a guide. indoor and outdoor areas (archaeological park) are covered as far as possible during this interesting and easy-to-understand tour. The tour explains why and how archaeologists have to protect this UNESCO World Heritage property and tells the story of the daily life of the first farmers in the Three Lakes region. There are two accessible, guided tours available:
Visit in sign language
For guests with a hearing disability, we organise guided tours in French sign language. In order to meet your expectations, we advise you to make reservations as early as possible.
Descriptive tour
For guests visually impaired, our guides provide descriptive tours of the exhibition or of specific themes. In order to meet your expectations, we advise you to make reservations as early as possible.
The Laténium Café is open at the same time as the museum. It offers a pleasant place with a panoramic view of the lake to drink a coffee or hot/cold chocolate or to share a snack, dessert or lunch.
By Boat: free of charge to Neuchâtel, if the Laténium ticket is shown.
By foot at the borders of the lake (not suitable for wheelchairs). Please arrange for an Support person if there are any visual difficulties.
