Baroque splendour on the edge of the village, with poplar trees growing on every corner. And just behind them lies the new convent of the Augustinian nuns. The church dates from the years 1692–1712. It replaced a structure from the 13th century and is a remarkable example of Baroque architecture, characterized by an impressive design and a large dome over the crossing of the transept. The interior, enriched with Baroque ornamentation and a Renaissance pulpit from 1624, reflects the pathos and theatricality of the Counter‑Reformation. The church is usually closed; keys can be obtained at the Valposchiavo Turismo counter at Poschiavo railway station.
