Acatos Viewing Platform

The viewing platform in Filisur is named after Alexander Acatos, the Greek-Swiss engineer who designed the Landwasser Viaduct. From the platform in the forest, visitors enjoy a breathtaking view of the viaduct and the steep slope down to the Landwasser River. The semicircular wooden structure is equipped with information panels about the viaduct. The railway signal, heard shortly before a train arrives, is the cue to get your camera ready and press the shutter at just the right moment.
