A village square reminiscent of the South, lined with magnificent stately palazzi. A particular jewel is the historic Sibyllen Hall in today’s Hotel Albrici, once an important stop for stagecoaches. The building was erected in 1682 and looks back on a lively history. Influential inhabitants of Poschiavo lived and worked here. The square is the heart of the village: events take place here, and in summer local producers set up their stalls at the weekly “Marcù in Plaza” or at the Pentecost and Christmas markets. The surrounding restaurants are popular meeting places for both locals and visitors.
